Pod Voglom hostel, located in Bohinjsko Jezero, is one of the HI network of hostels in Slovenia. At the hostel guests will find a sport center, which offers diffferent adventure activities. You can join us in: rafting, canyoning, paragliding, high rope course, kajak and mountainbiking. Hostel staff look forward to welcoming you and helping to organise these activities.

| Opening times (daily/weekly): | Every day from 8:00 - 20:00 in low season;from 8:00 - 22:00 in May and September, 7.00 - 23.00 in high season (July, August) Check in: until 20.00 Between November 1st and December 27th the Hostel is CLOSED, except for groups bigger than 10 persons! PLEASE NOTE: - tourist tax (1,01 eur/person/night) is not included in the price and has to be payed in cash at the hostel! - one night stay : additional payment is 3,00 eur / person (high season only July-August) |

| Pros:
- Excellent choice of free-time and sports activities
- good parking
- Very sympathic staff
- Lot of information available
- Nice beergarden & sunchairs outside
- Dinner/breakfast was good
Cons:
- eating area inside, in particular buffet area needs some cleaning
- Bathroom doors should be able to be locked
- Bathrooms need some renovation
- Stairs at two-storey beds need to be better fixed / repaired
- Lockers at rooms or halls are needed | ||

| there is a bus stop for the hostel, so no need to walk with heavy luggage. It's 15-20 min pleasant walk on a footpath, along the lake to commercial centre for atm, post office, supermarket and tourist info. | ||

Great, friendly, helpful, fluent English.
Location:
The location is pretty great but in the middle the south shore it can be about 40 mins walk either direction to other restaurants and maybe 1hr30 to savica and hikes up towards triglav. So accommodation at the west end may be better for some hikes.
However there are regular buses that stop right outside the hostel.
Food:
Optional dinner - lots of food, cooked well, good value, bit dependant on the day's menu: had one weekday meal and weekend meal. | ||

| Reception ladies were extremely courteous and provided relevant and useful information. Security should have an "N/A" rating because the environs probably do not feature thieves, i.e. not just the hostel but the entire town is safe, which means there was hardly a reason to be overly concerned about theft or break-ins. Quiet place = good location. The building is rather frumpy, but that seems to be the norm for hostels globally. | ||
