While HI-Taipei is one of the oldest hostels in Taipei (we are going into our 9th year), Hostelling International (Founded in Althena, Germany in 1909), celebrates our 100th anniversary in 2009. Therefore, we are offering: ***free cocktails every Tuesday nights ***movie night on our wide screen projector every day of the week ***bar (beginning December), free breakfast Friday mornings, and a breakfast option every day of the week.

Look for the bright "ORANGE+BLUE+WHITE" HI (Hostelling International) Logo displayed on the outside of K-Mall (at 13th Floor window). ** HI-TAPEI reception desk is located on the 13th Floor of K-MALL Building ** If you are confused by another youth hostel in K-Mall Building, please be assured that our accredited Hostelling International YHA hostel is located on the 13th Floor. ** HI-Taipei is a Member-Hostel of CTYHA (Chinese Taipei YHA) which is a fully affiliated member of the Hostelling International (HI) global network. ** In Taiwan, CTYHA membership cards & HI membership cards should only be purchased from Authorised YHA Member-Hostels to avoid imitations. ** Look for the LARGE "Hostelling International" Logo!

| Bus: | Taipei Main (Train) Station & MRT Station is a 3 minute walk across (or under) the main road - and is also Taipei's central transportation hub where you will find the Airport Bus Depot, over 70 local city bus lines, as well as all of Taiwan's major inter-city bus companies. |
| Metro: | The hub of Taipei's MRT (Metropolitan Rapid Transit) System is also located at Taipei Main Station. Exit 6 (Caesar Park Hotel) is the nearest MRT exit to K-Mall Building. |
| Parking: | Car & Scooter & Bicycle Parking is available at basement levels of K-Mall Building at B4 & B5. |
| Sea port: | The nearest harbour to Taipei is located in the northern city of Keelung. |
| Location: | From Taipei Main (Train) Station, walk across (or under) Zhongxiao Road towards the Building (next to the very tall Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Building). If using the MRT, use Exit 6 (Caesar Park Hotel) at Taipei Main Station. Take elevator to 13th Floor of the Building, which is next to Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Building. You can't miss the huge HI-Logo, when you walksee the Reception! |
| Rail: | HI-Taipei's 13th Floor balcony overlooks Taipei Main Station (3 mins walking distance) where you will find a comprehensive rail network to cities all over Taiwan. |
| Airport: | CKS (Taoyuan) International Airport is located about 50 minutes west of Taipei City. Airport Bus (No.61) costs NT$125 to Taipei Main Station and departs from the Airport (both terminals 1 & 2) every 15 minutes. |
