| I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you had nowhere else to go. The beds were so uncomfortable that no one in our four person company slept well, some of us getting almost no sleep. There was no hot water on the first night and the shower water came out brown. You can't lock the doors from the outside and there is no lockable storage in the rooms. The whole place is run down and really creepy. The breakfast is a bonus but consisted of just jam on toast. I believe you may be able to stay at a hotel for a similar price.
If you do decide to stay here, and want to book a private room (e.g. single, double, twin) don't count on getting it. We booked a double and two singles to find out that there are no double beds in the hostel. They placed us in three separate rooms but we got the impression that if the place wasn't empty except for us then we would have been sharing with other people. | ||

| Our room was enough to fit three people in. Our beds were quite old and didn´t have the newest matrazes on it but we moved two beds together= our king size bed. After exploring the island by foot and buses we still slept like on cloud seven. Bathroom was ok and we got more hot runing water then in an accomodation directly on Malta (Valetta).
The good things: - the kitchen where you can find everything that you need to cook yourself a delicious meal
the best thing was the staff that was working there. Very helpful, real nice and kind people with good hints and tips what you can do on the island gozo and where you can get fresh fish ( bugeja fish market 15 min. walk from the hostel- they have everything, so good so cheap) and everything else.
Our holidays were the best on gozo (we stayed for 9 nights for only 225 euros for two persons including breakfast). we will definitely come again, we had a perfect holiday on gozo!!

| Loved our stay here! What a pleasure, so romantic and peaceful. I have rated security as poor because to be fair there are no locks on the doors and people are pretty much free to come and go as they please. However, the hostel runs on a trust policy, and there was never any reason to be concerned about our belongings. It's just that type of place! | ||

| This hostel is run by very friendly and helpful staff. However compared to other HI hostels it is very dated. We had a private room which was very basic - not very comfortable beds! You can lock your door from the inside but not from the outside when you go out. The furniture is dated and fairly poor quality. So much could be done to improve this place as the location is good and the people are nice. | ||
