It is a 3 storey house that dates back to the 19th century, and it has been declared of historic interest. | El colchón de mi cama era de muy mala calidad. La enorme escalera que hay desde la calle hasta llegar, no es algo atractivo. A nadie se le ocurrió contarme de los atractivos de la ciudad ni tampoco conocían "datos" donde comer un poco mas barato, lo que no me permitió aprovechar el poquísimo tiempo que pasé en Montevideo. El desayuno un poco pobre. El staff fue amable y cariñoso pero muy poco proactivo. El hostal limpísimo y los lugares comunes muy espaciosos. Una TV de buena calidad con muchas películas para pasar días fríos y la ubicación bastante central pero sin ruido. | ||

| Nice hostel feeling. Not fancy, but cosy. They ask for your 3 digitit security number of your credit card by email, though, in order to confirm your booking. That's of course dangerous, but if you do not send them the code, they only cancel your booking after 72 hours. Better book on short notice. | ||

| Excelent hostel. My one complaint would be the reservation process. Despite having a confirmed reservation through the hihostels.com website I was told that my booking was not confirmed. I needed to send a further email providing my credit card pin number and arrival time. | ||
