The hostel is centrally located in Mariestad older, picturesque area of the typical small old houses. Since 1944, the houses are a hostel that is unique in its kind, both on the historic environment and the state near the port.

Mariestad is an ancient city with a lot of the older buildings and charm. But the hostel, dating from the 1600s is the only building that today can give the picture of how Mariestads previous trading houses looked like. On this site was an old tannery which processed hides in tree reservoirs. You stay comfortably in clean room or in a dormitory.

Besides the classical town fascinates and attracts the canal. Take a boat ride and experience the Swedish blue bands and the many locks. Along the canal is also a bike path.
