Customer Reviews Tokyo - Yoyogi YH

| The limited time for taking a shower is very uncomfortable and the staff was not able to express why there were higher costs than written on the website in a friendly manner... Was able to speak japanese fluently, but was ignored and talked to in english. Other guests were slamming the doors permanently and the door which leads to the entrance of Meiji Jingu park was always closed, so you had to go the whole way round to get there. But: Was very clean and comfortable to sleep, drinking machines also did not have overexpensive prices. Very close to Shinjuku station. | ||

| I have been deceived by my stay in this hostel. It's almost impossible to meet poeple, the hostel is really hard to find and there is no wifi. But it's clean and well located. | ||

| Facility was fine. The location was fine. Come to think of it was lonely. Conversation space is narrow. People could use at night is the time to gather the dialog.
This is just my own idea. Thank you.

| Don't walk around here alone at night. I am a guy and I felt uncomfortable; there was no one in site for about 8 minutes worth of walking. If I was a girl, I would not recommend this. Also, the doors were all open, you kind of get that feeling that if he wanted to, a homeless guy could just walk in and take a shower. | ||

| Will be great to have a better way to connect to the internet perhaps offer internet wireless in the rooms something you can pay ahead of time or included if you are member of HI hostels. | ||

| I love the location of this hostel. It is only a train stop or two from shinjuku station! | ||

| Great hostel! I have seen comments from other guests and believe that Japanese modesty prevents the hostel from selling the place well. The hostel is not in the centre of Tokyo but close to some super (and much visited) tourist spots i.e the Meiji Shrine, Harajuku and Shinjuku. Rooms are single private rooms with floors segregated between male and female - a great change after the dorm experience. | ||

| Price charged during check-in was more than the price quoted on webpage. Luckily I had a credit card with me.
The 2000 yen deposit had to be paid by cash, which should be informed to travelers during the booking.
Nothing near the hostel. No internet service after 10pm.
Overall, the experience was poor.

| It was very lonely, compared to my stay in other hostels (in Tokyo and elsewhere). I basically saw no one. | ||
