Hostelling International Italy (AIG) is delighted to introduce the world's first sailing youth hostel, adding to the already extensive range of unusual HI hostels around the world! This has been brought about through a partnership with Univelica, the Sail University, a dynamic group of young sailors operating on the Roman coast. Hostel guests can enjoy an unusual stay aboard the sailing boat 'Peter Pan', and sail to/from various destinations in the Tyrrhenian Sea. The 'Peter Pan' sailing hostel offers 8 beds and 2 bathrooms, with self-catering and a qualified skipper. The sailing hostel will operate all year, sea-conditions permitting. So where can you sail to or from? The 'Peter Pan' is based in Porto di Ostia, and planned landing places until October 2005 are: Agropoli, Amalfi, Capri, Formia, Giannutri Island, Giglio Island, Ischia Island, Nettuno, Palmarola Island, Ponza Island, Procida Island, Rome Lido, Riva of Traiano, Ventotene Island. For full details of arrival/departure dates and to book your stay, please email the 'Peter Pan' sailing hostel. You can combine a stay on the 'Peter Pan' with visits to other land-based hostels
