Set in a green and quiet neighbourhood, the hostel is close to Hamburg's race course and 10 minutes by underground from the city centre ("Horner Rennbahn" underground station). Accommodation is in 2-6 bedded rooms both with shared and private bathrooms. The kitchen provides lunch, evening meals and packed lunches.

| I made a reservation for a 4-bed room in the HIhostal internet system. I got 2 beds i male dorm and 2 beds in female dorn. In Hamburg it was possible to change this with a telefone call to the hostal. | ||

| The hostel itself was ok but it wasn't very clear where to go on arrival...i tried one door which was locked, then i waited a long time to be served. The lady was very polite but it was too busy for one person. I couldn't pay by card because the machine wasn't working, the keyring was so big it was ridiculous, I was given no bed linen and the rooms were not numbered correctly. It was a hot day, my bag was heavy and I had to traipse up and down looking for a room number that didn't exist. Very frrsutrating start to by trip. | ||
