Customer Reviews Nîmes

| Beautiful hostel. Clean, comfortable rooms in a large garden area. Breakfast is sufficient and there are occasionally treats like a delicious homemade pudding one morning. Staff are all very friendly and seem pleased to have visitors. The one problem with the hostel is it is up a large hill, and as a bicycle tourist with full panniers I found it difficult to make it up. But the hostel was definitely worth the effort involved in climbing the hill. Hostel response: | ||

| The price is the lowest in the region. But it's quite far from the center. Also, there is a 10 min walk between the bus stop and the hostel. Furthermore, the bus is quite rare...(every 30mins). If you don't have a lot of baggages and you are capable of walking, I think it's quite nice. If not, do not go to this hostel. Hostel response: | ||

| Very nice Hostel, very nice location. Lots to do in town. Make sure to buy the discounted museaum pass with printed route map/attactions. This pass will also get you into other museums not on listed on the attractions (like Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nîmes). Hostel response: | ||

| I had a wonderful time at the hostel. The setting is idyllic, the staff very friendly and helpful and there's a great sense of community. The Auberge is a traveller's paradise :) Hostel response: | ||

| It's a trek up from the nearest bus stop, especially on a hot day.
Peaceful, quiet. Hostel response: | ||

| Diffcult to find: directions need to say: "Autobus I: Stad Ales (the letter I) from Gard Nimes. Exit station, turn left, same side of street is bus stop." Was once I figured that out, finding it was fine, with the assistance of several friendly French people. | ||

| I was very impressed how clean the place was. The rooms are large even the lockers. Make sure you bring a lock. Breakfast is not included in the price but it's worth 4 euros. If you add it all up, it's the same price just like any other hostel in France. The disadvantage about this place is that it is a far hike up the hill especially if you have a large pack on you. I would recommand this place to backpackers. | ||
