Great for a city break, YHA Cardiff is situated by Roath Park and only a short bus ride to the sports venues, museums, theatres and bustling nightlife that the city centre has to offer.

The Welsh capital offers everything you’d expect from a stylish, cosmopolitan city with a rich heritage. Cardiff Castle and the Museum of Welsh Life are a must for history lovers. Sports fans will enjoy visiting the Millennium Stadium, plus there’s plenty of shopping and nightlife. Only two miles from the city centre, the hostel makes a convenient base for exploring. I am a bit concerned, I haven't stayed in the Cardiff YHA for about five years. I was planning to do so last year but cancelled. I am not being charged for this am I?

Very clean. Only one washer (front loader) that was busy 24/7 and no WiFi at all while there for two nights. Frustrating. But hostel is VERY clean. And showers as well al restroom were great!

The floor looked as if it had not been cleaned in ages, and there were no keys to get into the room, but a code, and also the door did not shut all the way, so anyone could have come in.

The staff there is good, and the optional continental breakfast (available if you paid for it)is great. The dorm is clean and there is a basin inside which is really cool. Toilets and shower rooms look like those in 4-star hotels. The only drawback is that it's quite far away from the city centre - it takes around 40 mins of walk. Bus service to the city centre are available every 15 mins which is quite acceptable.
