Customer Reviews San Pedro de Atacama

| I have to say that the cost for a private single was pricey. Out of the time I was there, 2 and 1/2 days I got one hot shower. Also, there was supposed to be breakfast included in the price-for New Year's morning there was no breakfast. Thus for mostly cold showers and no breakfast, the price of 70US was steep-I could have gotten a 20 dollar room for the same cost yet shared a bathroom. The price quoted to me when I reserved the room was inaccurate, for I ended up paying more. Definitely very different from the services of the International Hostel in Mendoza. The treating myself to the private room was not equitable to the cost. | ||

| The atmosphere at the hostel was very nice, cozy, and the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. They served you the breakfast, and were always cleaning the kitchen and bathroom areas in particular. The lockers keep your belongings safe as the staff opens the big area, supervises, then closes up when you are done. | ||

| By a long distance, the worst hostel I have encountered in South America. Dangerous wiring, a roof that threatened to fall in at any time, no facilities, disgusting bathroom, very limited hot water, bed clothes that should have been thrown out years ago. The HI affiliation and central location ensures that enough people who have not read the reviews on this site will check in. There are much better options in town for the same money. | ||

| I stayed at a room behind a club. Couldn´t sleep because of the noise till 2 am every day, and had to get up at 4 or 6 am to go to the sightseeing tours.... The staff gave me wrong informations about tours, and didn´t help me when I called before my trip to try to schedule a tour for my first day.
I don´t recomend the hostel to anybody.

| the hostel was not what i expected it to be. they didn´t have hot water during the weekend of easter, one argentinian girl of the stuff didnt let us to keep our baggage at the hostel during our last day (they told us we could keep them there before hand), she wasnt friendly at all. i can tell that atacama is absolutelly great! but the hostel was the worst part of the trip. | ||

| Staff treated me very well, as a friend would do. A pitty that is not a kitchen in order to cook some meals. | ||

| We will not recommend this hostel to anyone. This hostel should not be a hostel, cause it has no kitchen and no fridge. The toilets and showers are very small and you can only use them for 3 minutes.
The 3 storage high bunkbeds are really high and unsafe.

| Rustic conditions. No kitchen, though electric jug for boiling hot water. | ||

| There is no private bathroom, all bathroom are out side the room and very cold and dirty, we would recommend to stay in another hostel. The breakfast is poor, they dont have refrigerator to keep the food (including breakfast stuffs). | ||
