Shop till you drop in Orchard Road; bargain for batiks and silks in Arab Street; party the night away in the clubs of Mohamed Sultan Road; eat chicken rice and chilli crab at Maxwell Road Market; drink Tiger beer. With a population of 4 million, Singapore is a glorious fusion of cultures. In Chinatown, its cultural heart, there are numerous temples and ornate terraces.
