The Youth Hostels in France offer comfortable and affordable accommodation for the modern traveller of any age. HI’s four hostels in Paris make a perfect base for exploring world-famous attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre and The Champs-Élysées. Paris also plays host to some notable events: The French Tennis Open, Six Nations Rugby and Bastille Day in July. On the south coast, Nice is the destination for relaxing by the beach and soaking up the cosmopolitan lifestyle. Enjoy views from Mont Boron or La Turbie, a popular hiking trail. Our two Strasbourg hostels will allow you to explore the famous cathedral of Notre Dame and its astrometric clock. Stay in our Alsace hostels for a border free stay in the heart of Europe from here you’ll be able to commute easily to Germany, Switzerland and Luxembourg. HI has hostels all over France including other destinations such as the Loire Valley with its world-famous chateaus; the French Alps renowned for their beauty and access to numerous outdoor activities including skiing and mountaineering.

Opening times

Main hostels open throughout the year, 24 hours. Reception open 07:00 - 10:00 hrs; 17:00 - 22:00 hrs. Other hostels, reception open 07:00 - 10:00;17:00 - 22:00 hrs. Resident Manager. Seasonal hostels are generally open mid-Mar-Oct, Dec-Apr (ski hostels).
