And the country also offers an enormous range of outdoor pleasures, from the Rhine Valley and the Black Forest to the Bavarian Alps and the Harz Mountains. There is no need to look far to find accommodation here: there is a vast network of over 500 hostels - many of them offering sightseeing tours and sports packages from windsurfing to skiing.
