To the north east, Lake Sevan is one of the highest altitude lakes in the world where on a clear sunny day the water turns a deep turquoise colour; and to the north lies Debed Canyon, stretching 178km it’s jam-packed with history and culture, and is home to two UNESCO World Heritages Sites - Haghpat and Sanahin Cathedrals. But while all this culture, history and sightseeing are obvious highlights, it’s the locals that really make Armenia a special place - with their laid-back, kind and friendly nature you’ll come away not only with great memories, but great friends too.
